biscuit - warm, toasted, nutty

Vanilla - dry hop in 2ndary with 1 split vanilla bean. Tie to sterilized rock with sterile twine to keep bean submerged.

Recipe

* 5lb light DME/ 9lb Maris Otter
* 0.25lb black patent
* 0.5lb chocolate malt
* 0.5lb toasted rolled oats (optional)
* 0.25lb biscuit malt
* 0.5lb crystal malt 120L
* 1.5oz fuggles 1/2@60min, 1/2@40min
* 1/4tsp irish moss

Procedure

* Steep grains for 30min @ 154F
* Bring to boil, rm from heat, add DME, return to steady boil
* Add bittering hops, boil 60min
* Add irish moss with 15min remaining
* Cool below 80F before pitching
* 1wk primary, 2wk 2ndary
* bottle condition at least one month
