This was my first partial mash. SG came out a little lower than expected but batch was a bit bigger than planned...

5lb Pale 2-row
1lb carahell
1.75lb light DME
hops? Probably 1oz of something like fuggle@60min

Procedure

Mash: 6qt water + 5lb pale grain + 1lb carahell
Sparge: 3gal @ 170F

dough in water 170F, dropped to 150F, tried/failed correcting with more hot water, left at 150F for 1hr. Passed iodine test.

boil:
added 1 lb 12oz amber DME to ~1.25 gal wort
boiled remaining wort alone

amarillo hop schedule (each boiler equally hopped):
* 1/4 oz @ 40
* 1/4 oz @ 10
* 1/4 oz @ 5

irish moss: 1/4 tsp @ 20 in each boiler
